Frozen/thawed (F/T) refers to feeding snakes rodents that were humanely pre-killed and frozen, then fully thawed and warmed before offering — safer than live prey, which can injure the snake.
Live rodents can bite and seriously wound a snake, so F/T is the recommended standard. Thaw fully and warm to body temperature so the snake recognises it as prey; never microwave or refreeze.
