Dusting

Also called: Supplementation

Dusting is coating feeder insects in a fine calcium (and sometimes vitamin/D3) powder just before feeding, to supply minerals reptiles can't get from insects alone.

How often, and whether the powder contains D3, depends on the species and its UVB. Regular calcium dusting is a cornerstone of preventing metabolic bone disease.
